Several Sandies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maleek Johnson, who rushed for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and one TD. Johnson's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Sean Walker had a good game as well, finishing with 261 passing yards and two scores in total.
Tank Scott was his usual excellent self, rushing for 194 yards and five TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry for Bremond. That's the most rushing yards Scott has posted since back in September. Tyriq Scott was another key player, rushing for 86 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.
Grapeland's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Bremond, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Grapeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bremond, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-6 victory against Mart on the 28th.
