Columbia Falls has gone 7-1 against Libby recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Loggers at 7:00 p.m. Columbia Falls will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Columbia Falls had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 33-point drubbing they dealt Polson on Friday. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 46-13 victory over the Pirates. With the Wildcats ahead 27-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Columbia Falls can attribute much of their success to Trip Ross, who gained 212 total yards and three touchdowns, and Banyan Johnston, who threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns. Johnston is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't). 95 of Johnston's passing yards were hauled in by Jory Hill.
Columbia Falls was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Columbia Falls didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gabe Plevel, Easton Brooks, and Hill picked up one apiece. Columbia Falls got some further help from Daniel Contreras: he picked up two sacks and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Libby entered their matchup against Whitefish on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Loggers were beaten by the Bulldogs 48-21. The Loggers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Tristan Andersen and Luke Dalen. Dalen had a great game and rushed for 107 yards and four scores on only 14 carries. Meanwhile, Andersen was balling out in the loss, rushing for 82 yards and one TD on only ten carries, while also throwing for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Columbia Falls now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Libby, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.
Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Johnston and Andersen. Johnston just won't slow down this season and has thrown 13 touchdowns (and and only 1 picks) while averaging 197 passing yards per game. Andersen has been a dominant force too and has thrown 9 touchdowns while averaging 135.9 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Columbia Falls against Libby in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-0 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Loggers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
