The Cottage Cougars entered their tilt with the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf Panthers with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Cottage strolled past the Panthers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 44-25. Cottage pushed the score to 37-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Alyssa Briggs, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Cottage's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Workman, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Cottage is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
