Basketball Game Preview: Bremen Lions vs. Glenn Falcons

Bremen is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Glenn is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bremen Lions will welcome the Glenn Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bremen knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Glenn likes a good challenge.

If Bremen beats Glenn with 62 points on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Bremen took down Central Noble 62-48 on Tuesday.

It was another big night for Eliana Grubbs, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Kila Foster, who posted 16 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Glenn lost to NorthWood at home by a 41-24 margin on Tuesday. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bremen will have to contain Addison Reese as she made an impact in Glenn's last game. She put up nine points. Reese is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Bremen, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bremen has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Glenn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 23.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Bremen strolled past Glenn in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 53-35. Will Bremen repeat their success, or does Glenn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
