A well-balanced attack led The O'Neal School over Father Capodanno in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that The O'Neal School Falcons blew the Father Capodanno Grunts out of the water with a 39-6 final score. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Judah Sibley was her usual excellent self, putting up 15 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of The O'Neal School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofie Itegie, who posted three points and ten steals.

Father Capodanno's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Brinkmeyer, who put up two points and five rebounds.

The O'Neal School has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.5 points. As for Father Capodanno, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

The O'Neal School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-15 victory against Fayetteville Christian on the 11th. As for Father Capodanno, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Asheboro Hybrid Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
