Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 89-81 to the Mountain Pointe Pride. One positive for the Firebirds, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Mountain Pointe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaden Gollhuir, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 21 points. Justin Kimbrough was another key player, going 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and six boards.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mountain Pointe, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will venture away from home to challenge Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season. As for Mountain Pointe, they will head out to face off against Campo Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
