Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bedford). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Somerset Eagles 73-39. The win was some much needed relief for the Bisons as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.
Jacob Wilson was nothing short of spectacular: he went 10 of 15 on his way to 26 points and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Quincy Swaim, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.
Bedford was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Somerset only racked up six assists.
Somerset lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Stoy, who went 6 for 11 en route to 12 points. Kellan Hagans was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds.
Bedford's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Somerset, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Bedford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-61 loss against Central Cambria on the 29th. Somerset has also already played their next match, a 113-56 defeat against Chestnut Ridge on the 29th.
