Carver moved up to 97 from 147 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAAA Region 6B. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of a 30-8 win over Banneker.
Washington extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating South Atlanta, 26-21. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Carver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Holden has thrown for 551 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Tevish Clark has six catches for 171 yards. Derrick Johnson leads the league in rushing with 436 yards.
A big matchup in AAAA Region 6B this week will be when Grady takes on Washington. The Knights are currently in third, while the Bulldogs are in first.
