The Bishop Moore Hornets will square off against the Davenport Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Moore will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Bishop Moore took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Celebration with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Annabelle Oehler and Bella Goldfried made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Oehler pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Goldfried struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. At bat, Oehler went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Goldfried scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Goldfried has posted since back in February of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ariana Lara, who fired off three doubles, four RBI, and one triple while going 4-for-4. Sabrina Griffin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Bishop Moore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Celebration only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Davenport lost 15-3 to Fort Meade on Monday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Davenport saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashanti Pagan, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Bishop Moore moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Davenport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Davenport's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bishop Moore hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. It's a different story for Davenport, though, as they've only averaged .223. Will they be able to contain Bishop Moore's hitters?
Bishop Moore couldn't quite finish off Davenport in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 12-10. Can Bishop Moore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
