Trenton has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will challenge the Bell Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Bell took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Trenton, who comes in off a win.
Last Monday, Trenton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over Oak Hall. The victory was all the more spectacular given Trenton's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Oak Hall is ranked 37th).
Trenton can attribute much of their success to Zander Grant, who scored 15 points, and Mason VunCannon, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dax Becker, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Bell, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were outmatched by Saint Francis Catholic at home and fell 60-24.
The victory got Trenton back to even at 2-2. As for Bell, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Trenton was able to grind out a solid victory over Bell when the teams last played back in January, winning 37-25. Does Trenton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
