The Norwalk Truckers won the last time they faced the Keystone Wildcats, and things went their way on Saturday too. Norwalk walked away with a 56-47 victory over Keystone. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Norwalk.
When it comes to explaining why Keystone lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grant Hartley. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with six steals. Hartley scored a full 42.6% of Keystone's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Logan Nagle was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Keystone struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Norwalk's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Keystone, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Norwalk has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Bellevue at 7:15 p.m. on December 29th. Bellevue presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Norwalk in Ohio (Bellevue is ranked 91st, while Norwalk is ranked 309th). Keystone will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
