North Sand Mountain came tearing into Thursday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Pisgah Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Bison, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Luke Reed made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, North Sand Mountain got a massive performance out of Mikey Poss, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Carson Harvey was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

North Sand Mountain's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.5 runs. As for Pisgah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

North Sand Mountain will have a chance to go back-to-back against Pisgah: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
