DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -
Central Bucks West (Doylestown, Pa.) extended its winning streak to six games with a 30-10 victory over
Quakertown (Pa.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Joe Ramos touchdown run in the first quarter, the Bucks led 20-10 at the half.
Central Bucks West expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. CBW's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown pass by
Marcus Forshee to
Connor O'Hanlon.
Quakertown's lone touchdown came on a pass from undefined to
Kyle Baskin in the first quarter.
The Doylestown school entered the contest giving up 26.7 points per game this year. A defensively strong the Bucks kept the Panthers right around the 9.7 points it had been averaging per game.
Central Bucks West also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 42-0.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Quakertown.
In a Suburban One - Continental game next week Central Bucks West (6-1) takes on Hatboro-Horsham, and Quakertown (3-4) will go up against Souderton also in a Suburban One - Continental game.
