Basketball Recap: Joshua Poole Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Hills Academy

Young Americans Christian lost to Hills Academy back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Young Americans Christian Eagles put the hurt on the Hills Academy Knights with a sharp 73-47 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Knights since January 10, 2022.

Young Americans Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Poole, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. That's the most points Poole has posted since back in October of 2023. Another player making a difference was Damian Crawford, who went 8 of 16 en route to 16 points along with seven boards and six steals.

When it comes to explaining why Hills Academy lost, don't look at Tynor Parker. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Campbell, who put up nine points.

Hills Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Young Americans Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-46 victory against Victory Baptist on the 5th. As for Hills Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-55 win against Trinity Prep on the 3rd.
