Central Connecticut III West recap October 22, 2013
Bloomfield's Norvel Stewart recorded the longest rushing play in Central Connecticut III West this season in his game against Platt last week. Stewart's team lost to the Panthers as he sprinted for 78 yards on the play and finished with 225 in all.
Weaver fell to Rocky Hill 49-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nick Meadows was a bright spot for the Beavers, as he threw for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns in the defeat.
Stewart was a beast in the backfield as Bloomfield fell to Platt.
Christian Flynn threw for 383 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 14-27 with 1 interception.
Chris McLaughlin was the best receiver in the league this week as Northwest Catholic bested East Catholic. McLaughlin racked up 5 receptions for 159 yards. Aidan McDonnell helped Northwest Catholic's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 140 yards.
The Indians' Flynn and McDonnell have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Flynn has thrown for 1,294 yards this season, while McDonnell has 10 catches for 308 yards. Chris Young from the Terriers leads the league in rushing with 800 yards.
Rocky Hill led Central Connecticut III West in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Weaver.
