Baseball Recap: East Hickman County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Zion Christian Academy

East Hickman County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Zion Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. East Hickman County put the hurt on Zion Christian Academy with a sharp 18-6 win on Tuesday. East Hickman County's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Dylan Reddin made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of East Hickman County's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Reddin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, East Hickman County got a massive performance out of Jayden Malugin, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-5. Malugin also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luke Owens, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

East Hickman County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zion Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .400.

East Hickman County moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Zion Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

As for Zion Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Franklin Road Christian at 5:00 p.m. Zion Christian Academy also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 6.2 runs per game.
