Basketball Recap: Salesian Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

All Hallows came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Salesian, but Julien Wiggins wouldn't allow it. The Salesian Eagles took down the All Hallows Gaels 61-45 on Wednesday thanks in part to Wiggins, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine steals. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Salesian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for All Hallows, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salesian and St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will compete for holiday cheer at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for All Hallows, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cardinal Spellman at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
