The Estes Park Bobcats will challenge the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Estes Park needed a bit of extra time to put away Lyons. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Lions 8-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Drake Kearney was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Cole Ingram was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clear Creek). They put the hurt on Arrupe Jesuit with a sharp 24-5 victory on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Golddiggers in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won five in a row.
Vinny Schoell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Schoell was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony Zacharias, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with five runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Zephyr Schuessler, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with five runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Clear Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Estes Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Clear Creek, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Estes Park has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clear Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Estes Park's way against Clear Creek in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Estes Park made off with a 10-4 victory. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golddiggers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
