Jesse Covington made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Tyler Mangus was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Ashton Pittman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Westchester Country Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salem Baptist Christian only posted an OBP of .214.
