The Legacy Lightning will take on the Horizon Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Legacy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
On Tuesday, Legacy made easy work of Mead and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Lightning have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jason Olsen
Jason Olsen made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Legacy is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Olsen was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hudson Griffith and Kellen Reiser did most of the damage at the plate: Griffith went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Reiser scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Reiser is becoming a predictor of Legacy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Ethan Sanchez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Legacy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Horizon suffered their closest defeat since March 21, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Niwot by a score of 4-2. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Horizon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Aaron, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Aaron also scored a run, marking his first of the season.
Legacy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Horizon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Horizon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Legacy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. It's a different story for Horizon, though, as they've only averaged .288. Will they be able to contain Legacy's hitters?
Legacy suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Horizon when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Lightning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
