The Crismon Rattlers are taking a road trip to take on the Central Bobcats at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crismon has ten straight victories, Central has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Crismon's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Poston Butte as they made off with a 16-0 win. Considering the Rattlers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Kenny Wilsford made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaden Lopez, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zachary Jernigan, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Crismon lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poston Butte didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Central's offense. They lost 13-0 to McClintock on Wednesday.
Crismon pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Crismon has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Central, though, as they've been averaging 10.4 hits. Given Crismon's sizable advantage in that area, the Bobcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
