Elk Point-Jefferson will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Flandreau at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Elk Point-Jefferson had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against McCook Central/Montrose last Friday 27-20.
Meanwhile, Flandreau had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it on Friday as the team lost 6-7 to McCook Central/Montrose.
Elk Point-Jefferson's win lifted them to 1-0 while Flandreau's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Elk Point-Jefferson can add another positive mark to their record or if Flandreau can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Elk Point-Jefferson's step.
