North is 8-2 against South since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Saxons will challenge the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. South took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on North, who comes in off a win.
North will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against Peninsula on Friday. The Saxons came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 34-21. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Saxons' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Edwards, who threw for 216 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards. Kchole Mataele-Juarez did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something North proved: they limited Peninsula to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The Saxons are a perfect 3-0 when they shut down the run game so well.
Meanwhile, South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 48-28 to Torrance. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
North will have to keep a close watch on Chase Spahr and Denver Schneider, a pair of players who had a big impact on South's prior game. Spahr threw for 275 yards and four TDs, while Schneider picked up 109 receiving yards and one score. Spahr has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.
South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for North, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. North has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 159.5 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for South, though, as they've been averaging only 88.1 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for North against South when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-0 victory. Do the Saxons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
