Village Christian Academy hadn't done well against Freedom Christian Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Village Christian Academy Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Village Christian Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 25-14, 25-17.

Grant Washington paced Village Christian Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Washington got some help from Jacob Grenier- Richie and his 17 assists. Nolan Pait controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Village Christian Academy's record is now 3-0. As for Freedom Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Village Christian Academy and Freedom Christian Academy will both be playing Ascend Leadership the next time they take the court. Freedom Christian Academy will head out to face Ascend Leadership at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Village Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
