It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Southeast Seminoles had no problem doing just that on Monday. They managed a 47-42 victory over the Green Devils. The win was a breath of fresh air for Southeast as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Southeast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zion Mcneal led the charge by scoring 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcneal has scored all season. Azharia Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Southeast's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-19. As for St. Petersburg, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Southeast will face off against Sebring at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sebring focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Monday. St. Petersburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
