 Westside got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Taylor Talton out in front who threw for 98 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of  JiKayla Marshall, who picked up 53 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Howard's offense. They came up short against  Pike County on Wednesday, falling  21-0. While losing is never fun, the Huskies  can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked 203rd, while the Pirates are ranked 92nd).
 Howard has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season. As for Westside, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.
