Softball Recap: Lebanon Wins Going Away Against Warren Central

Lebanon won the last time they faced Warren Central and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Krryn Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Addy Zell and Sophie Robison did most of the damage at the plate: Zell went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs, while Robison went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Robison has posted since back in May of 2024. Morgan Bayless also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lebanon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .550. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Lebanon and bumps their season record up to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Warren Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Lebanon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Greencastle on the 3rd. Warren Central has also already played their next game (against Northfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
