Melrose won the last time they faced Texico and things went their way on Thursday too. The Buffaloes put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buffaloes.

While Melrose won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-18.

Melrose's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Texico, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Melrose and Texico will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Buffaloes will square off against rival Lake Arthur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Texico is set to take on their familiar foe Tatum at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
