Branson won the last time they faced Joplin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles.

Emma Skoglund paced Branson's offense, picking up 13 kills. Skoglund got some help from Erinn Swofford and her 25 assists.

Branson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6-1 record this season. As for Joplin, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Branson has already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Waynesville on the 13th. As for Joplin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Camdenton on the 13th.
