After flying high against the Jurupa Valley Jaguars on Friday, the Claremont Wolfpack came back down to earth. Claremont took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Covina. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the defeat, Claremont saw an underclassman step up: Jaden Cardenas dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hugo Montejo, who scored 16 points.
Claremont now has a losing record at 4-5. As for West Covina, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Claremont will be playing at home against Workman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Workman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 248 points over their last four contests. West Covina's road trip will continue as they head out to face South Hills at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th.
