On Tuesday, Gray Collegiate Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-33 to Chapin.
Chapin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sami Stephenson led the charge by scoring 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Stephenson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reagan Haggard, who scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds.
Gray Collegiate Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Chapin, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Gray Collegiate Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against American Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Chapin, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Irmo at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
