Basketball Recap: Vasquez Beats Lancaster Baptist for Their Third Straight Win

Vasquez had won two straight games and Carter Parker did his part to make it three on Friday. The Vasquez Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lancaster Baptist Eagles 91-54 thanks in part to Parker, who went 9 of 19 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Battey, who made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points along with seven assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Vasquez's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Lancaster Baptist, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vasquez will take on Trinity Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster Baptist, they will host Santa Clarita Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster Baptist has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
