After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kingston, the North Huron Warriors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 45-11 victory over Caseville. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-4.
Among those leading the charge was Ana Champagne, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Champagne is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Jimkoski, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
North Huron now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Caseville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Huron will play host again and welcome Carsonville-Port Sanilac, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caseville, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Deckerville at 7:30 p.m.
