Clayton came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 52-43 victory over the Cleveland Rams. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-53 last Wednesday.

Clayton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Gray, who posted 12 points. The dominant performance gave Gray a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Preston Copeland, who put up six points and nine rebounds.

Clayton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Clayton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-58 win against Fuquay - Varina on the 17th. As for Cleveland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-59 defeat against Southeast Raleigh on the 17th.
