Soccer Recap: Central Has No Trouble Against Griffin

After failing to score in their last contest, Central made sure to put some goals up on the board against Griffin on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Bears. Central might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Peyton Presley and Gabriella Baldassarri scored all four of Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Griffin, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Central challenge Mundy's Mill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Griffin, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Harris County at 5:30 p.m. Griffin's defense better be ready for this one: Harris County has averaged an impressive 5.5 goals per game this season.
