It was a good run, but  the Halls Red Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  55-54 to Powell. While losing is never fun, Halls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings  (they are ranked 162nd, while Powell is ranked 44th).
 Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Gabe Holmes, who  scored 11 points along with 6  assists and 6  rebounds.  Jake Lane was another key contributor,  scoring 18 points along with 3  steals.
 Halls' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Powell, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halls will  challenge Heritage at 7:15  p.m.  on Monday. As for Powell, they will head out on the road to face off against Halls at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Halls is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
