The Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Ocean City 63-37. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Our Lady of Mercy Academy as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Ocean City saw an underclassman step up: Marley Ostrander scored nine points. Madelyn Adamson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Our Lady of Mercy Academy's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Ocean City, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Our Lady of Mercy Academy will challenge Haddon Township at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean City, they will head out on the road to take on Wildwood at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
