Having struggled with five losses in a row, Green Mountain turned things around against Littleton on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 10-4 victory.
Miles Flanagan looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Green Mountain: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-15 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Corbin Wade, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Royce Pina, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Evergreen never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Wheat Ridge on Monday. They blew past the Farmers 14-2. Considering the Cougars have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
James Mauro was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Keller Fiore was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Evergreen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wheat Ridge only posted an OBP of .367.
Green Mountain's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-16. As for Evergreen, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Green Mountain hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Evergreen struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
