Last Friday, Kimball didn't have too much breathing room in their game against East Union, but they still walked away with a 35-29 victory.
Kimball's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jermaine Nance, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown. Darius Doyle made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Nevada Union put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Ponderosa 37-6 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Nevada Union.
Rhyder Eelkema and Bodey Eelkema were among the main playmakers for Nevada Union as the former rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries and the latter rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Eelkema was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Kimball's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5. As for Nevada Union, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
