The North Knox Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They greeted the New Year with with a 66-47 victory over North Central. The victory was some much needed relief for North Knox as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, North Central still got an impressive performance from Ethan Willis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Willis hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was DJ Suggs, who scored 12 points.
North Knox's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for North Central, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Knox will face off against Shoals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Shoals and North Knox are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. North Central will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Paris at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
