Cavonta Washington Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Cavonta Washington was instrumental in extending Rivercrest's winning streak to seven on Friday. Washington was excellent, throwing for 416 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 77 yards. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.1 passing touchdowns per game.
Rivercrest pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Washington and Rivercrest will challenge Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Prechton Wilkerson Delivers Best Effort of Season
Hoxie was led to victory by Prechton Wilkerson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wilkerson rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Unfortunately for Piggott, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Wilkerson. Wilkerson picked up 139 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards the last time he and the Mohawks duked it out back in October of 2023.

Big Game from Harris As Rivercrest Won 51-20
Buddah Harris's big game helped extend Rivercrest's winning streak to seven on Friday. Walnut Ridge had no answer to Harris as he picked up 189 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Harris torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 87 yards.
For the year, Harris has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 89.9 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 39.43 receiving yards per game.

Evan Henley Turns in Season-Best Performance
Harrisburg came up short on Friday despite Evan Henley delivering his best game to date. Henley picked up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Harrisburg dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Henley will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Hoxie on Friday.
