Chittenango has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Marcellus Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Auburn scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, Chittenango still came out on top. Chittenango strolled past Auburn with points to spare, taking the game 82-65.
Ryan Moesch was on fire: he scored 40 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Chittenango's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Bell, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Marcellus' game on Friday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Westhill 52-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marcellus.
Marcellus found their leader in underclassman Tucker Burnett, who shot 4-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Will Burnett, who scored 7 points.
Their wins bumped Chittenango to 2-1 and Auburn to 1-1.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Chittenango and Marcellus are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Chittenango hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 64 points per game. However, it's not like Marcellus struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.5 per game.
