This season hasn't been kind to the Albion Purple Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They fell 64-55 to Medina on Thursday. Albion was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Medina apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Jerrell Nealy, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds for Medina. The game was Nealy's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Pitts, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Albion's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Medina, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Albion will be playing in front of their home fans against Royalton-Hartland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medina, they will head out on the road to face off against Barker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
