Elijah Martinez turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two earned runs surrendered on Tuesday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Helix's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 3-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Martinez and Helix will be taking part in a tournament against Bonita Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Barons will enter the matchup having just beaten University City, so the Highlanders will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
