Faith Christian proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 21) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Wake County HomeSchool 8-7.
Andrew Rine made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Cleveland brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Faith Christian's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Cleveland, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Faith Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. However, it's not like Cleveland struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
