It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Eaton Reds had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over Pagosa Springs. That's two games straight that Eaton has won by exactly three points.
Connor Davey threw for 97 yards and a touchdown. Gunnar Duncan was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Eaton, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. As for Pagosa Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Eaton will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Rifle at 1:00 p.m. on November 18th. Rifle is on a six-game streak of home wins, Eaton a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Pagosa Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
