Evansville North scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Tecumseh with a sharp 67-44 victory. The result was nothing new for Evansville North, who have now won six matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Evansville North's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brooke Silva, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Libby Blythe, who went 8 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assists. Blythe continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vanessa Nankwenya, who scored five points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Lafayette Jefferson came up short against Portage last Saturday and fell 40-28. Lafayette Jefferson has not had much luck with Portage recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
