Meanwhile, Lincolnview made easy work of Ottoville on Monday and carried off a 24-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lancers.
Like Perry, Lincolnview also got a great game from a two-way player: Myles Moody. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moody was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Evans, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Chayse Overholt, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.
Lincolnview pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
