Vero Beach  took care of business in their home opener  on Friday. They came out on top against the Eau Gallie Commodores by a score of  41-31. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered  a  29-27  defeat the last time these two teams met.
  Efrem White was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 84 yards and a pair of  scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 74 yards and one  touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 51 yards.  Champ Monds was another key player, throwing for 127 yards and one  TD while completing 73.3% of his passes.
 Vero Beach wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  28-24  victory against Buchholz on the 29th. As for Eau Gallie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  23-14  win against Rockledge on the 29th.
