Uniontown had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it on Friday as the squad lost 6-7 to Yates Center. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
Uniontown are on a four-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-6. The win bumped Yates Center's record up to 2-5.
Uniontown will take on St. Mary's-Colgan at home next week. Yates Center will stay at home against Pleasanton at 7:00 PM. Pleasanton also experienced difficulties finding the end zone in their match this week, so look for the defenses to decide this one.
